Flyers,

I converted to an LED tail beacon and LED Nav lights with wingtip strobes.

Therefore, I'm auctioning off my Belly strobe on eBay. It is in perfect working order. I was too lazy to clean the grease off it before taking the photos, so understand it will clean up nicely.

I listed it in the Classified section of this site and I made a quick link here: http://tinyurl.com/d4y4vra

I hope someone here can give it a good home.

BTW, how many here did the LED upgrade and what are your thoughts? I love them! They are so bright I can't even look directly at them during preflight. I love the fact that they use significantly less current and are cooler. Also between the new LED Nav lights and new LED beacon I lost that annoying squeal and buzz in my headset...which was really disturbing since I have a PS Engineering 8000B and like to listen to music on long xc's. For me...losing the background noise was worth the whole price.

If you already put it in the classified section, why are you also listing it here?

Mainly, because if most are like me, I rarely open up the Classified section. But, many times someone places a post in this general section for an item that they put in the classifieds that sparks my interest. I then go looking for it and sometimes purchase it.

If they didn't post a comment on it here, I never would have bought it or even have known about it. I actually appreciate it when someone let's us know they have an aviation related item for sale, as long as they are not a sales person in the business and they are only just one of our friendly group trying to help us by helping themselves. Sounds win-win to me.

Second, I wanted to kill two birds with one stone by also sparking a conversation about the LED lights and get the groups opinion on them.

I agree though...let's keep the likes of vitamin sales people as well as the porn spammers at bay. But for legit members who are just friends talking about aviation related personal items for sale, surely I would hope we are understanding enough and shouldn't allow something like that to upset us.

The Classifieds (20 Viewing)
Got something to buy? Sell? Trade? As long as its aviation related, you can post a note about it here and maybe make the bargain of the century! Please make sure all advertistements are related to Aviation in some fashion.

Just sayin' :D
