A common response when selling on Craig's list is that a guy will email you and tell you he is interested, he will ask for more info and then decide to buy it without seeing the item. He will then tell you he will send his 'agent' over with a certified check.

Of course the check is a bogus certified check and he gets the item and you get nothing.
