Hello, I’ve just been diagnosed with something called Gilbert’s Syndrome. It’s where your liver doesn’t process Bilirubin as fast as it should. The only effects of it are jaundice and occasional stomach pains. No medication/treatment required. Anyone have any experience with this syndrome and if it will have any affect on a 1st class medical?

Gilbert’s is not a disqualifying condition but it doesn’t cause abdominal pain. Your AME will want to review your work up and see how your doc came to that diagnosis. You could have Gilbert’s and something else causing the symptoms or you may have a different issue all together. Knowing your age and other medical history / medications would help.

eta - usually with Gilbert’s there is no workup but I suspect you were being evaluated for jaundice with stomach pain and they noticed your liver function tests were abnormal. You may indeed have GS but there are some unanswered questions.

You just need your doc to declar that's what it is....but like Craig D sez, you might have recurrent gallstone disease as well.
