TOMATO FLAMES is an acronym to remember all the required equipment for day VFR. However, since you never need to know that when you're already in the air, it's one of those items that should be just looked up in the FAR/AIM instead.
Then there's GRAB CARD for night, or IFR, or something, and another for the other. I do like acronyms normally, but these really are worthless.
