Anybody Remember Taillight?

Several (many) years ago on an ancient technology called a newsgroup we had quite a discussion on something we called "Taillight". I find it remarkable how similar it is to our currently conceived ADS system

Anybody on here remember the Taillight discussion?

I've been trying to remember his name for a week now. He's the one that is on the FAA's $#i+ list for pointing out the dumb stupid errors that the FAA has in the transponder specification. I'll remember it one of these days.
