You can thank me for the good weather. My plane is in annual (going on a month and they havent started the squawks yet), so because I cant fly, the good weather is here.

Man, is it common for you owners to have your plane down for 10% or more of the year every year for an annual?

On a side note, the weather cleared out here early this afternoon. It's so clear and the moon is so bright you could sit outside and read a newspaper. I was going to spend a few hundred bucks on dinner tonight, but the rental is down because somebody had a bird strike.

Well, for those of us with older planes, pretty much.

Even if nothing is broken, you either replace something proactively at annual time or do upgrades. Then shops get busy, and a small thing that would normally take less than a day of work can drag for weeks.

I have an FAA medical and wish to maintain it, therefore I never get depressed.
