Beckly, WV (Raleigh County Memorial)...

Is there a sit-down place to eat there... There is a "Lounge and Restaurant" but wondering if it is just Vending Machines... Also anything weird about this place other than the fact that it is in West Virginia... Might be doing a Pilots N Paws Pickup there next Saturday and if there is a place to eat I might bring the girlfriend along...
 
I see you stole signed up for some local flights, keep me in mind if you are looking for a non-canine pax. as for WV, yeah, not much I can explain about that.
 
Stopped for fuel there once in a V tail, but's that's about all we did. Refuel and headed back out.
 
I stopped there in the Waco last summer for fuel. Pretty quiet place. Don't recall any place to eat on the field.

If you do go, try to fit in a flight through the New River Valley. Very scenic flight.

Too bad 5$ Frank is no longer there.




You might want to try Mudsuck International Airport.... or maybe not.
 
I landed there last weekend. There is a restaurant in the terminal, but it wasn't open when I was there. Not sure what the hours are.

I spent the night at the Glade Springs resort. That place is awesome and will send a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off for $25 round trip.

The FBO is around the corner from the terminal and is very basic but open and helpful. No parking fees.

The ILS and VOR approaches are out of service, but the RNAVs are good and approach can hear you on the ground.
