If you live near Atlanta-Hartsfield and get reasonably good ground/air reception of KATL frequencies, let me know. I was surprised to see that one of America's largest airports is NOT covered by LiveATC. I provide the feed for KFTW and KAFW, and Nate provides the feed for KAPA... I'd be happy to help you get a feed setup for KATL. It's quite easy, reasonably inexpensive (less than $200 even if you have to buy a radio and antenna).

The main requirements to host a feed are:

  • Police scanner or any receiver capable of monitoring airband (118-136 MHz)
  • Always-on internet connection (LiveATC uplink uses only 16kbps)
  • Decent reception of a local airport, approach control facility, or ARTCC
  • Windows, Mac, or Linux/FreeBSD computer with sound card (requires very little system resources)... or even a cheap Raspberry Pi
  • Inexpensive audio cable to hook your receiver to your sound card
  • Free software that we help install
