Any Pagemaker or InDesign Gurus on the Board?

I'm wanting to design a flip-type checklist for our planes. But, I need some help with creating a template with gradual pages I can ultimately adapt to any plane we may have.

Does anyone on the board have experience in Pagemaker or InDesign? I have Pagemaker 6 but would consider purchasing InDesign.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Certainly not a guru, but I use inDesign at work to do some basic stuff.

I would NOT pay money for inDesign for this project. Download something open source instead. I use Scribus at home. I'd bet even money that there is already an aviation checklist template for Scribus out there somewhere.

I'm fairly adept at pagemaker 6, having used it extensively during the Aviation Safety days. I'll help if I can.

I use MS Word and it works fine, though margins give me more trouble then warranted. I use the AF Blue checklist booklets (slide in type).

I haven't used the page layout apps in years (but maybe I should!)
