I figure there are a few fellow gear heads here. Here is a project I have been doing for a guy. It is a 1972 Camaro which I have built and installed a 427 ci small block chevy engine that has all the goodies in it, it is supercharged and intercooled (28 psi boost), computerized crank trigger ignition, complete new fuel system from front to rear, and so on. It is supposed to produce in the area of 1000-1200 hp.

Looks nice.
But I thought the STC for the boost was only 27 psi for that year? LOL

VERY NICE!!! I have always liked Camaro's

Holy crap, I want one!!! Might not be the best on the snow, though, I'm guessing?

Well, OK, but you can have a really nice retractable airplane for what this mod alone cost:hairraise:

Oh, by the way, I have another pulley for the S/C that will drive the boost up to 38 psi:yes:

Well Don , looks like a nice job ,but I"M A BIG BLOCK MAN. My last toy was a 1980 Chevy K-15 short bed, it had a 482 CID BB that was Hilborn fuel injected. I t was also lifted and had 44 In. super Swampers on it. I'd post pics but they where lost in a flood.

We have a '52 Chevy pick up street rod with a 350/350 and 12 bolt. Since we've lost interest it's up for sale.:(

Here is a couple of toys I used to have.
The rear engine dragster I built from scratch, all crome molly frame, 509 Big Block. Built the whole thing in my garage at home, this is the first race with it, still no paint.

The second is my 1969 Camaro which I did a frame off restoration on it. It had a 1989 Tuned Port fuel injected 350 I took from a wrecked Camaro.

I have a 1960 Plymouth Savoy (large car with BIG tail fins), the slant-6 was removed, and it now wears a 440-4v, 727 push button tranny, and posi-traction from a late 60's Mopar.

The car was originally purchased by my great Aunt in Festus, MO, in 1960, and has been passed down thru the family, with each subsequent owner adding his own touches to the car.

It is not tuned to be really fast, just lots of low end toruqe. It goes plenty well without every having to rev it past 2500rpm.

A few crappy pics, gotta take a few when it is cleaned up:

Bill:

That is one suh-weet Mopar! I love cars like this, where you have kept the character of the original (no radical bodywork, wagon-wheel rims, hydraulics (ICK), etc.) and made real-world useability (Classic-Aire A/C) and fun (440!) improvements.

Nice, nice, nice.

---

My "toy" is a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Cabriolet (convertible)- I bought it in 1976, and it was my daily driver for four years in SoCal. A better Las Vegas / Palm Springs road trip car there never was. It is fuel-injected (rare in '76), and is still in nice shape, but is in need of a lot of remedial / restorative work. Interior vinyl (esp. door panels) would be damaged if I drove it much. Sad truth: it has not been used or driven much at all since I started flying.

You do some incredible work Don. Good looking rides.

Now THAT'S what a car should look like!

I am seriously Jonesing for a late 60's/early 70's original Sedan de Ville 4dr Caddy, one with the 500 cube torque monster V-8. I LOVE those old Caddys.

Something like the one on this page:

I just can't yet seem to pull the trigger, maybe in another few years.
