Anyone have the copy from May 2008? Can I entice you to mail it to me? There's a very special article in there I'd like to read. :D

That car would exceed ramp weight as soon as you install a decent low band transmitter and amplifier. :)

Hmph. I had pretty good luck with an FT-857, even though I could never get the antenna to load up below 17 meters...

You would surprised what fits in cars these days for low band operation. HF transceivers and amps are well under the anchor weight one would see as late as the 1980's.

I do get QST but I no longer have the May issue. My subscription does not run out until 2099 as I am a ARRL Life Member.

You plan to live another 90 years? Seems like your "life membership" will "run out" sooner if you don't live that long:P.

I applied for and was accepted for life membership by the ARRL. Apparently they expect me to live to 2099. I am kinda of annoyed by that. If I got that close I would sure love to see 2100!! :D

But apparently the ARRL has made a decision. If I should die before 2099 I am going to want a refund!!:rofl::rofl:
