Hello
I am a pilot and CFI from Dayton (based at MGY), and another refugee fleeing from Usenet after nearly 12 years.
About my flying: I learned to fly in Ottawa, Canada, then got all my other ratings in Albuquerque, NM, flew quite a bit in the rocky mountain states, and currently live in Ohio. I fly mostly on personal trips and and business, with the occasional instructing for club members (Dayton Pilots Club).
I am also currently building a Europa aircraft, although I can't claim that it has seen much progress.
About my work: I am a professor of Optical Engineering. Although the two have nothing to do with each other, many skills I acquired in the cockpit have proven to be quite useful in my work too. In the very least, some of my students think it is cool to have a prof who is also a pilot.
