Noted that they're providing a limited number of ADS-B receivers to feeders in areas where their coverage is weak in a radio forum.

So they're augmenting the FAA radar feed with their own ADS-B feeds. Interesting twist.

It only shows airline traffic. Any way to show private planes?

I saw private tail numbers in there. Probably the same feed places like FlightAware use. If they're not IFR or on a discreet code for VFR FF, they're filtered out, as well as codes that have requested not to be shown.

ADS-B receivers won't pick up the location of non-ADS-B-out equipped aircraft, hence the glut of airlines and few private aircraft.

If you have only a Mode C transponder, you may be picked up and have your existence recorded but your location can't be plotted. It can only be plotted through multiple 1090 receivers, using multilateration (triangulation) to locate you.

interesting cockpit view button.

iPad app also available. Kinda need to watch the conga lines form.

Looks to me like they need an ADS-B feed or two in Nebraska tonight. Only FAA data from up there. :)

That's pretty cool. I see a mix of comercial and private. I'll have to check out the cockpit view when I get home. No google earth at work. :(
