Another TFR Due to Laser Use

Why close airspace for the months following an incident??
It may just be an approach similar to what they did with the El Paso airspace closure a couple of weeks ago. Put a "long enough" duration on there that you don't have to worry about renewing it anytime soon, while you conduct whatever operations/investigation/risk mitigation you think is appropriate. Once the situation is understood/addressed well enough, lift the TFR.

It may also be a tactic for one irritated gov't org to shine a spotlight on the gov't org doing the irritating in an effort to exert some pressure to relieve the irritation.
