Seems they actually closed three this weekend. More so far this year than all of last year. I hear they are packing their bags to go visit another larger bank soon.

Notice they are raising the fees to the FDIC of the good banks to help pay for this; that will sure help the capital position of the remaining good banks----right?

My credit union would have had a $9M loss this year, but it jumped to over $65M because it had to pay its portion of the insurance covering credit unions that failed....

Why, that's almost as unAmerican as using government money to bail out shareholders and management of banks that made stupid decisions. Now the good ones are having to compete with government controlled banks, and we all know what good decisions governments make!
