"Night, heavy fog"? Sounds like less than ideal conditions. IFR flight plan? Glad they all made it out somewhat O.K.

Now starts the process nobody wants to go through, recovery, wreckage reclamation and all the rest. Of course a handful of steps above funeral arrangements.

Neither did the poster just above you - merely pointed out the difference in the amount of paperwork involved
 
I know Deck airport very well. I used to have all my maintenance done on my Cherokee, then Tiger at the shop located at Deck. Plus, a good friend had a Bonanza based there until he moved recently so this scared me a bit, but his is a V-tail. I hope they are OK. Very foggy in eastern PA today.
