I'm watching "Viva Las Vegas" on my new BD player and HDTV. Ann-Margret is such a class act. She easily outshines Elvis.

They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Am I reading this right?

Did you just dis.....THE KING????????

You're going straight to hades for that one, bro.

:D

Metzinger is correct. She brought down the house with her senior performance (at New Trier High), which was "We're having a Heat wave". Apparently the stage was dark, the curtain down, whe came out stage right in very very tall heels and a short skin tight slinky dress, and did the tune acapella.

The Director of Arts, a Dr. William J. Peterman, who was still there when I went through, had a picture of that moment on his wall.

It was a WOW.

I actually watched "Via Las Vegas" as a first run in a theater. My neighbor buddy was the Elvis fan. Not me.

It is one perfect musical.

Too bad the rest of Elvis's movies never came close to that quality.

I have been watching old episodes of Picket Fences on Hulu. Man I forgot what a babe Laureen Holly was then. Well she still is, I see her from time to time at the local Starbucks as she lives nearby.

Ann Margaret was pretty hot. But then I also think that Shirley Jones was in her day too.

Elvis, not so much. I never figured out what that was all about.
