Back in late August was the Great State of Maine Air Show. That was also the predicted Hurricane Irene. The predictions came forth, though by the time the storm got to Maine it had been labeled Tropical Storm Irene.
The air show was scheduled for Friday/Saturday/Sunday; however, Saturday activities were late getting started because of dense fog in the morning and Sunday was cancelled.
On Thursday night, because of the impending hurricane a few planes were nestled inside the huge Hangar 6(former Naval Air Station Brunswick). The occasion surely gave nice color to the facility, part of which is now Brunswick Executive Airport KBXM.
