Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

No he wouldn't. He survived the crash and burned to death.

The air-force had not set up a crash response that conformed to industry standards.

Solano County autopsy report indicated Andreini suffered no major injuries from the impact of the crash. Instead the report indicated that Andreini’s death was the result of smoke inhalation and burns.

Industry standards? What are those? This should be a breach of contract lawsuit if they breached the contract. I read the contract with a very famous air show performer who flew at our airshow this past August. She had a clause for fire and rescue response time that seemed unreasonably short IMO, but was told it was not uncommon. We had to pay the local PD, who's firehouse abuts the airport property, to park on a taxiway during the show.

That being said, suing the Air Force for $20 million for a 70-year old guy? Seems unreasonable and abusive.

So Eddie was a great guy and ran a mean grader. The pilot of Colgan at buffalo was said by his wife to be a great guy and a very religious person. They both have one thing in common. They screwed up and killed themselves and in the case of Colgan, many others. Eddie could have gone into the crowd but did not which is fortunate. Lawyers approaching family's having lost someone Are a dime a dozen and they oftentimes weasel their way into a lawsuit. Eddie was at fault, no one else. He knew the odds. End of story. But......it will go on and on with hidden settlement. Too bad.
