Ejection Handle Pulled
so, my GSD pup, Günter, decide to let me know he doesn't like being left in the tuck too long. He did so by eating half of the vinyl and padding off of my center console lid in the farm truck. (Thankfully it was the farm truck and not the good truck!)
I had replaced it once before, about 6 or 8 years ago, the original one was getting cracked where I rested my elbow all the time while driving. At that time, IIRC, the dealer wanted over $100 and I found a good one at a salvage yard for about $50.
So, I'm driving home from working on the airstrip and, just for grins, hit the mic button on my phone and say "shop for a center console lid for a 2002 Chevy Silverado."
In less than 20 seconds (quite literally), by hitting three buttons, I had one ordered off of eBay for $20, free shipping, and it arrived two days later.
Amazing. I probably spent $20 in gas finding the last one.
Today's technology is wonderful...
