Alpha Systems Eagle AOA kit

Just saw an add by Sarasota Avionics for an Alpha Systems Eagle AOA kit advertised for $2,399. I assume that does not include installation. Anybody have any experience with this kit? Anybody know about Installation labor cost?

In case anyone is curious:

Called Sarasota Avionics in Venice, FL. today.
They quoted approx. $5,000.00 labor cost to install the kit in a C-172.
(In addition to the price of the kit)
Said it was a complicated install with “a lot” of calibration.
Also required flight testing.
The fellow i spoke with said he “just figured a whole week’s labor”

Just did a keyword search and found this old thread. I have researched but not pulled the trigger yet.

I don’t think the installation is complicated at all, at least in a 182. @n2230b what kind of plane?

I think the pilot should be able to do all of the calibration. I would actually prefer it that way.

I plan to do an owner-assist install when the time comes.
