I was at the local FBO this weekend and a Baron was in the hangar getting a lot of work done.

The cowls were off the engines and quite a few things had been removed so I was able to see a lot of details that I normally don't get a chance to look at.

This airplane had anti-icing on the props. I did see the fluid discharge tubes, and on the back side I could see the slinger. What I couldn't find was a way for the deicing fluid to get into that slinger ring.

From what I've seen on the interwebs, it looks like there would be a tube that empties into that ring? I haven't been able to find a good picture, only a rough drawing or diagram. I didn't see anything that would be putting fluid in that ring, so it might have been on the table with all the other parts that had been removed.

There were no other visible anti-icing devices on that plane, at least none that I was aware of.

What's the normal procedure for when to turn on that prop fluid and for how long?
