When you get your SI determined alcohol abuse, not dependence, what can you expect in the next few years in detail leading up to the unrestricted medical again. Will the FAA randomly ask you for things or is it all monitored by your hims ame now?

At a minimum, two years of peeing in the cup since after the FIRST authorization (that'll be a while), then if both the event and the first authorization are more than two years of monitoring past, you can petition for off of the SI- but it'll take them about six-to-eight months to get to that. So you will be peeing in the cup....since when you make first application....through the letter and cert, then two years and then until you actually have the release letter in hand. 3+ years of proven abstinence, Usually.
