did they really spell Cessna in the subtitles - Sessna?? and 1000 ft of vis for a VFR pilot?

More like Alaska Snowmobile race. Not impressed with this episode.

Gentlemen, hello. Obviously I am new and this is my first post.

I"d like to correct the gentleman, G. Prellwitz about the 182 taildragger. It is a 182 taildragger.

I did not know they ever made a 182 taildragger, I have heard of 180's

please show me a 182 taildragger ( maybe you can get a stc for older 182's)

I'm definitely interested in this. Was the 182 modified substantially to be a taildragger? To the best of my knowledge, Cessna only produced nose-wheel 182s. They certainly have taildraggers like the 180 and 185, however. I don't see a taildragger modification at http://www.aeroprice.com/aerolibrary/cessnase_mods.htm, but of course that list may not be comprehensive. I'm eager to learn!

By the way, welcome to PoA!

I have no idea what the OP is about ;) but there are a number of 182s that have been converted to taildraggers either through STC or field approval. Mostly 56-59 models with the straight tail and trimmable stabilizer so that to the unpracticed eye they imitate the 180 rather closely.

Watching the new episode tonight, this one is pretty good. Don's a hoot, reminds me of a coworker pilot. Sphincter seal...... Lulz.

The first couple years of the 182 used the 180 fuselage, the gear boxes were still there, all you needed was a set of 180 gear legs and install them in the forward hole.
the difficult part was changing the rear fuselage bulkhead to accept the tail wheel.

Cool! I'm happy to have learned something! Of course, I'd probably describe this as a 180, just like I'd describe Greg's ex-plane as a 195, though it was born as a 185 (IIRC), but still. I stand corrected!

A 185 to a 195? That'd be a helluva mod. ;)

Greg's bird was born as a 190.
