I guess with all of the recent news concerning aircraft security, the FAA a little more focused on this topic of late. They just released a draft for a new AC 119-ANSP - Airworthiness and Operational Approval of Aircraft Network Security Program

http://www.faa.gov/aircraft/draft_docs/afs_ac/

This AC is essential due to technologies in modern aircraft that may be vulnerable to threats common to IT platforms. Previously, aircraft designers used ARINC 429/629 or MIL-STD data buses to interconnect flight-critical avionics. TCP/IP were used only to support passenger information and entertainment systems. New aircraft designs use TCP/IP technology in a manner that virtually makes the aircraft an airborne interconnected network domain server.
Notice the statement "New aircraft designs use TCP/IP technology in a manner that virtually makes the aircraft an airborne interconnected network domain server". This is another way of saying "come and get it".
