I have two airspace questions I was hoping someone could help me with:

There is a peak called "Pilot Peak" about 16 NNE of KMPI, the markings show 7500MSL - Is this the floor of Class E? So, that area would be G from sfc to and including 7500, above class E to but not including 18,000 and class A above - is this correct?

Close by there, there are two airports: KMCE and KMER. KMCE is marked as class E to sfc, but that intersects KMER class D. Would that overlapping area be class D airspace (during eff. hours of KMER)?

Fly On!

Yes, the first question is correct. 7.5K is the floor of class E and that goes to 18K.

Treat the overlap area as class D (when the tower is open).

Not quite correct. Class A airspace tops out at FL 600 with Class E above that.

Yes, due to the hierarchy of airspace.
