Huh. I always thought I got flight following out of KOSU pretty automatically. I bet I was IFR almost every time though.

I always got it from approach once in the air. This is the first I've head ground/tower being able to do it. They said back in the spring it was in the works so it's good to see it's available now.

The Dec. 10 chart cycle was a bad one for the FAA chart folks. The new Seattle sectional also came out on 12/10/2015, and failed to show the new ATCT and CTAF at Aurora, Oregon (KUAO) commissioned two months earlier. A/FD omitted it, too.

The new Seattle chart also STILL shows the two dams and reservoirs on the Elwha River, which have been gone for 2 cycles of the chart.

I bet that keeping the charts updated and accurate is pretty involved and that errors are prone to happen. Maybe they need local folks to edit before publication.
