When I used to work at Essex County Airport, I know that the Airport Manager and the Airport Supervisor (recently got a new job title of Deputy Airport Manager) are cousins or at least relatives of each other. And recently, I learned that the late Airport Mechanic (who used worked on airport vehicles and equipment) has a daughter who is the Director of Operations of the governing body which owns and operates Essex County Airport.
I know a couple of airports in NJ where they are owned and operated by families and relatives. Is this common in other states in the U.S.?
