Look! Operation Fly made into last month's FAA Safety Briefing magazine. Go to Flight Forum, page 38 for the article.

Airport Visitation – Operation Fly

I came across this website today and I thought I would pass it along in case you aren’t aware of it: http://www.operationfly.com/. It struck me as being along the same lines as the state airport ambassador programs, except the goal of this program is to encourage pilots to get out there and fly to (and claim) each of the airports in the US. You claim an airport by submitting a photo of the airport in which you can also see the challenge word “Operation: Fly.”

Didn't Nick do all that way back? I still have the pic I took of Chip claiming some airport in NM I think it was.

Doh!, that is Nick...

Yes. Nick started it as FlyAmerica, then converted it to Operation Fly. He couldn't continue working with it and DaleB (I think) took over the reins.

Haven't heard much about it since then.

Cool to see it still going and getting a bit of recognition. I took that pic on the way back from Aus trip.

Those were the days. This forum was a lot more fun when people were working together to fly you across the country.
