Hard cover, but a bit musty - I scrounged it from the recycling center...

Free to a good home.

(Pretty decent book to read BTW.)

How much different is the book from the movie?

Ok, for some reason, I didn't spot your reply right away...:dunno:

Basic story is the same - snow, 707 stuck in the mud - moved at the last instant, bomb on the aircraft, pregnant stewardess - but the book has a lot more detail - it's a pretty fat book. Things I don't remember from the movie: The airport manager's brother in law (air traffic controller) who is planning on committing suicide, the manager's wife who has a couple guys on the side, Joe Petroni isn't at the airport when things start. Could be other stuff, but it's been so long since I've seen the movie it's hard to say.

I didn't notice much "stupid Hollywood stuff that doesn't happen in real life" stuff in the book - I don't recall how much may have crept into the movie version.

I though the book was pretty good.
