Airplane Repo star plane crashes

Obviously though, I don't think Popovich was flying it. He always rode in back from what I saw. Seemed to have a very professional operation.

I don't think that Nick Popovich has had anything to do with the Airplane Repo show since the third episode of the first season. Subsequently, the show shifted from a "reality" script to a "fantasy" script, complete with a new cast of characters.

I have no first-hand knowledge, but from what I've heard, Nick and his operation are pretty legit. I suspect that he may not have been comfortable in the role of "TV star."

As always, the media makes the details sound much more dramatic

WOW!!! It had over 7000 lbs of fuel and came out of the sky at 120 mph.. OMG!!!!!!!!!

And that's when those safety pads come in so handy, for malfunctions just like that!

So a jet overruns the runway and that shuts down the entire 5000'. I bet there were some STOLs out there saying "come on, I only need the first 200 ft". Seems like a "do not overfly crash" could be safely put in place.
