Even as a student, I find myself wanting to read reviews of the airplanes I have been flying (so far Aquila A210 and Piper PA-28-161 Warrior) to learn tips and what to look out for as well as where the airplane is in the whole scheme of things.

Also often flying clubs have a few different models to choose to learn on and it might be very nice to be able to see that characteristics each had before choosing.

I also have an eye towards someday going on on, or maybe buying my own. Have seen a number of folks, experienced pilots, asking about specific aircraft.

Often find some reviews out in the net, but most often they are outdated or get the idea that hearing or reading reviews from owners that have spent a good deal of time in some models could really be interesting.

Has this been discussed? Is there a possible benefit from having a sub forum dedicated to reviewing types?

    On PoA?

Let me see if I can sum up the PoA evaluation results in one paragraph:

There's only one REAL general aviation plane...it's called a Bo. All others are wannabes. Except, maybe, a Mooney. Any Mooney. But then Mooneys have low wings which impairs downward visibility and, even worse, limits their ability to be equipped with floats, knocking them out of contention. But despite the fact Cessnas have those cute struts and wheel pants (when not on floats) they don't have a red handle, so their superiority is thus questionable. That raises the issue of whether plastic airplanes with red handles are REAL airplanes. Which brings us back to the fact there's only one REAL general aviation plane...

Trust everything is now perfectly clear. :D
