As a side-thought to my other thread: Anyone have insight on the aircraft rental situation in the Panama City, FL area?

Are there any rental outfits/flight schools at ECP?

Anyone had recent dealings with the aero clubs at Tyndall or Eglin?

Tyndall Aero Club is either closed or closing within the month. I have no experience with Elgin, but it looks nice and has decent rates.

Some of the members started an outfit in town at:

but I contacted them about some flight training and didn't really feel like they were interested in helping me out.

There is also a flying club at Jax Navy Base in Jacksonville if you make it that far east.
