Aircraft Down in Pittsfield ME

I don’t have any info, but it sure sounds to me more like an emergency off field landing rather than a “crash”.

Ah, the border patrol. Trying to keep the Canadians out, no doubt. But at some point, can't an off-field landing become a crash? What is the determining factor? I'm going with "amount of damage".

A Boarder Patrol C-206 had a problem (possibly flying KAUG to KBGR) and tried to make it to 2B7, Pittsfield. Went into the trees on the south side of the river and is only accessible by boat using the seaplane channel to the river. “Off airport landing” (crash) area is secured by a dozen of more Boarder Patrol agents. Two pilots walked away, understand one was treated and released the other was held overnight, status unknown but not considered life threatening.

Nothing to see here move along!
