EAA is one of the few magazines where I take the photos, but have no idea when, or how, they'll use them. I was surprised to get this month's Vintage Airplane magazine in the mail and find out I had the cover shot!

The young lady in the photos helped to restore this plane. She had no idea she would be in photos that day and she was not happy with the shirt she had on. I loaned her my jacket, which was way too big for her, but another EAA Photo Team member, Amanda, helped tie it up in the back and made it look pretty good!

Great pics - as well as the ones in the magazine! It may be a bit of work, but I’ll bet it is even more fun :)

Pete (plane owner/restorer) is our EAA chapter president (Chapter 13 - Ray MI). The young lady (Isabella) got her Private certificate through the EAA Ray foundation scholarship, and is now at Embry Riddle.
The plane, as you would expect, has an interesting history, which is nicely documented in the article.
