Paul Barnett brought his beautiful Mustang, Rosalie, to Texas last weekend. Matt Jackson jumped in it and joined up on us in the B-25 for some photos. These are my favorite photos from this trip!

If you've never met Paul, he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He had a accident that nearly cost him his leg and he uses it as a warning to other pilots. Story here.

One of my favorite photos I've ever taken. Not sure why, doesn't follow any rules of aviation photography!

Ok, I fought it as long as I could, but I finally joined Tik Tok. I'm not a video guy, but sometimes I turn on my Insta360 and attach it to the photoship. I've added a link to my page in my signature.

If you're interested, here's a video I took while doing this photoshoot. Click Here: P-51 Mustang

The original was undoubtedly named after a girlfriend/wife, but an interesting bit of trivia: "Rosalie" was the French nickname for a bayonet. "Taking Rosalie out for a drink" had a different connotation.....

Amazing photos! I loved your video, too...thanks for including the link!

Is the "white" streak in the yellow propeller paint area in your first couple of photos, a reflection from the sun? They are pretty cool looking, whatever they are!

Those, are a lot more than OK photos, Jack! NGL that makes me jealous sometimes - in the best sort of way. Keep it up!

Thank you! I never noticed the white streak until you mentioned it. I guess it is a reflection!

Thanks Ryan. Coming from you, it means a lot!

Man, between the photo platform and the subject airplane, some avgas was burned that day! I hope you didn't have to foot the bill!

Great photos Jack ... now if I had that plane and the money that owner should have, I'd figure out a way to put 6 wig wag lights into those machine gun openings:)o_O
:yeahthat:

The only things Jack's beautiful shots lack are blazing machine guns on the Mustang, and maybe a smoking Messerschmitt tail in the foreground.

Hey, @RyanB - if you want to sell something besides shirts as a POA fundraiser, I suggest a Jack Fleetwood Aviation Calendar. Or better yet - the "Best of Jack Fleetwood" coffee table book. Of course, that may require a rather large coffee table.....

I used to put out a calendar every year, but it got to be too much work. I used Lulu because they would let customers order directly and I didn't have to be involved. I'd be open to something like that.

And thank you!
