Shot this Champ on Friday over Lake Travis in Austin.
The guy flying this one has access to quite a few planes, including a King Air, two Navions, and more. I wanted to shoot this one. It's interesting! It has the O-235 with 115 HP, which I'm guessing gets it off the ground quickly, but it's still slow.Nicely done again Jack.
A friend of mine had a Champ with an 0-235 and a Cherokee cowl just like this one, years ago. He could shoot ILS's in it and he had it on floats in the summer months.
Thank you!Man those are great shots Jack! There was a all red Champ in the pattern yesterday afternoon, just a cool looking plane. This one looks great with the AF markings. Even a selfie!
Thanks. I think it was done with a paint brush and it's stored outside, but I cleaned it as much as I could before the photo shoot! And no, that's not a service I offer!Beautiful photography, Jack! I agree with Mark; the USAF paint job looks fantastic.
Thank you!Jack, those are just gorgeous! You get such great portraits of pilots in their planes in your close up shots.
