We flew with Eric Bradley and his Dad yesterday. His Dad was on the cover of flying magazine over 50 years ago, so I had to get a shot of him holding that magazine! This 177RG has original paint, but a nice panel that has me thinking about updating my 182!

The magazine is from September 1963. He told me that there was nobody in the back seats, but Flying added them for some reason! He showed me the original photo.

Nice work, nice plane. 50 years goes by in the blink of an eye.

Thank you! One of the cool parts of working for magazines is getting to hear these stories. This guy was very proud of that cover, as he should be!

Best looking Cessna single. Great photos as always!

The Cardinal RG is very photogenic. Not a bad angle on that plane.

I gotta say any angle showing the gear in travel aint so good.

Did some of my long cross country work and training towards my instrument rating in one of those. Good times!

and nice pictures!

Thanks for the compliments on the airplane. Here is the original picture from 1962 that was used on the September of 1963 Flying Magazine issue.

Wow, I saw the picture and went huh where have I seen that before. Then it hit me. It's the #45-year-challenge. Down to the same wingline shot. The more things change, the more they stay the same. :D

Great photos as always.

Beyond the beautiful images, your work also makes me curious about the planes themselves. Does the 177 has only one green light to indicate all three gear are down?

Interesting back story. Is the jet an F-5A?
