Christian wanted some photos in her Cessna 150, so we went up! Nice to have someone so excited about flying. We shot these over Canyon Lake in Texas. I hate that the water is so low, but it makes for some pretty pics.

That's definitely one of the rougher looking planes you've photographed.
LOL, yep. She's working on becoming a commercial pilot and is building hours. I didn't know it looked this rough until I showed up. The worst part for me is lack of paint on the prop tips. It had a little bit, but mostly worn off, so no great prop circles.

If that was my plane, I would be proud of it.

Immaculate, no. Impressive for the age, absolutely.

Years ago, our flying club made the educated decision on whether clean the paint vigorously enough to look new, or double the time between repaints. We chose light brown belly, and long lasting paint. :)

Jack, glad you went ahead with the shoot, looks great to me. Fine choice for time building, she shopped for a good looking plane, and has a right to pride.

I never judge anyone who has an airworthy plane. It gets you in the air! I do like it when people take the time to clean them.

A working airplane for sure, needs a little elbow grease before the has another photo shoot.

Yup. I wasn't criticizing, just observing. Just like at a car show, I always like to see the old unrestored car with faded and peeling paint and maybe some rust, rather than gleaming works of perfection looking better than they ever left the factory. My plane is far from pristine, too.

I really like that you did this shoot. This is good mojo for all of “us” who can’t afford the newest and/or shiniest of airplanes. But she has an airplane that she is putting to good use. I like these photographs. A lot.

Put your money where it needs to go to get the mission done. Her mission is building hours.

My wife asked about a paint job...
I said it was next in line behind a new engine and a new panel.
