ASI posted an IFR quiz to Facebook this morning and they also said "Now in HTML5!" What is this telling me?

Just tells you they are now using the latest HTML standard. Should be nothing as long as you use a current browser that supports HTML5.

Yes but they're bringing back java applets, the marquee and blink tags

iOS supports HTML5 but not Flash so it means that you can view it on an iPad/iPhone/iPodTouch or the rumored iWatch.

Flash is obsolete. Even the ADOBE Flash authoring tools have the option of writing out HTML5 compatible stuff now instead.
