This race for women pilots only will fly from OKC to CYSJ St. John. NB, Canada between June 19-22. Each plane with female pilot and female copilot (at least one must be rated IFR or have 500 hrs PIC) and optional female passenger fly approximately 2400 miles over 4 days. Planes are handicapped, so all entries have (somewhat) even chance of winning. http://www.airraceclassic.org/ This race used to be called the "Powder Puff Derby."

I'm will not fly in the race this year (rats!) but hope to watch them come in to ELM or BVT.

Looks like a fun route of flight. I have a couple of friends that have flown in the Air Race Classic. Do you know Martha Miller or Linda Meese?

No, I don't. I haven't been able to fly the ARC, but every year think, "Maybe next year."

They'll miss Tennessee this year, but you could go to Bowling Green & cheer them on.
