So I got to thinking the other day (scary I know), now that Trump has been elected president, does his personal plane get the same security and considerations as AF1 leading up to the time he is sworn in in January? And does it have a cool call sign to go a long with it or just the tail number? I know he has full secret service detail now but does that translate to his personal 757?

On a similar note, this is pretty funny.

Delta 465, ready to copy? Hang on tower, we want to take a picture of the Trump plane first.

He gets a little TFR, similar to the VP. You can hear the callsign in the video you posted. It is '7AF' or '757AF'.

He's President-elect, not President until sworn in. No call sign as far as I know, just whatever his plane goes by. But yes, all the Secret Service support, which he's been receiving for awhile.

He doesn't get the same security (since that would require a nuke-hardened plane).

He doesn't get the same callsign (because he isn't president).

He does travel with secret service (and they tell him what he's allowed to do, which is apparently already chaffing him).

Until he's sworn in, he's a private citizen that has a security clearance and Secret Service protection, that's it.

he's actually not even the president-elect. that won't happen until the Electoral College meets and casts their ballots.
