This unit is a "light" version of the Horizon HXr I've got in my RV-8. Because it can be temporarily mounted, it is legal for certified aircraft, at an unbeatable price.

I've not seen anything quite like it for certified aircraft, so I thought I would pass the word! We have been VERY happy with our GRT avionics EFIS.

And if you buy one, you help put fuel in my plane as they are one of my customers.

Wonder how well it'd work in a strictly VFR application..

Long story short, I had a Dynon that I was going to install in our -6, and my house burned and away went the Dynon.

Still haven't replaced it.

It uses the same software, and appears to have the same features of our 10.5" Horizon HXr.

Not sure how it works without the permanently mounted AHRS, but if it gives you the same info as our Horizon, that is everything you need for VFR flight, times three.

Sure beats what I currently have in there... ;)
