aerotreking?

I'd love to try flying a trike with a delta wing. Is there a website where I can find a place near me (Dallas / Fort Worth) where I can go for some instruction and flying? I don't mind driving a couple hours (which gets you WAY into the country out here!).

If you had a grass strip near you that had trikes, good ultralights, powered parachutes and LSA's available for affordable rental rates (say, $25-$40/hr), is that something you'd do to fly "for fun" affordably? I would!!

I met these people at the Mid Atlantic Fly In last year. They seem like really nice people.

They can get you certified Tom.

You know, the problem with communication and welcoming new pilots isn't limited to our GA FBOs. I wrote three companies for information about their trikes, using the "contact us now!" links on their websites... haven't heard nary a reply in over 3 weeks.

This is why the "sport aviation" thing won't go far. How many boat or motorcycle dealers will ignore requests for information? They're gonna be on that "new prospect lead" like white on rice, pardon the expression.

As we're fond of saying, (sigh), "we're our own worst enemy".
