Looking into building the Nieuport 17 or 28 with pops. Anyone have thoughts on these WW1 replicas?

Personally, I would love to have a Aerodrome replica, but don't see myself having the time to build one anytime soon.

My recommendation is to ensure you go full scale vice a scaled down replica. That way you can utilize a Rotec radial. Much better engine than most of the two stroke type engines found on the scaled down replicas.

You can put a Valley's "Big Twin" Generac conversion on a sub-scale Newport, it was done. Also, I think some tried 1/2 VW like a Hummel.

I would like to build one sometime also. I like the Nieuport 28, Camel and Pup with the Rotec radials. His newest design is a SE5. All of these are full scale. Don
