ADSB Anonymous Mode

I have a GDL88 which is 978 UAT. I noticed theres an anonymous mode but when I press it, it wont stay on anonymous mode while squawking 1200. Can anyone offer any information as to why?

Did you wire it correctly to allow for anonymous mode? IIRC you have an extra ground wire that needs to be in place.

I thought you needed a jumper for always anonymous or a toggle switch run for selectable. This is from no actual expertise, only what I heard from a salesman some time in the past.

Pin 5 needs to be grounded or put to a on/off switch to ground (per the install manual). If it doesn't work you may need to have your transponder checked.
