Flew to 6Y9 and back yesterday and today. L3 LYNX for the unit. I got NEXRAD imagery, notams, traffic, but no winds aloft or any METARS/TAFS on the way there or the way back.

I saw some NOTAMS for some small outages but, not for the area or altitudes we were at.

Got weather on Friday in another L3 unit.

Did ADS-B weather get DOGE'd??

Same here for the last two days for stations in south Louisiana. I took my avionics tech up to see what was going on. Most FIS-B data loaded but no METARS. There is a thread on BeechTalk describing the same issue in many geographic areas.

Saw the same thing on an out and back Atlanta-Dallas-Atlanta yesterday. I did have weather radar and traffic, but nothing else.

iFly gave me a readout of what I was and wasn't getting.

Cant get image to attach.

Same thing in west Michigan Thursday. Forgot to check today - too bouncy.

Same for me two weeks ago. From Maine to FL. Outage both ways for about 1/2 the trip each way. Not consistent geographically on the two legs

Ditto a run from MRB to W75 today; no metars.

Same in ND on Thursday evening. I was wondering what went wrong with my panel.

Same issue for me. Flew Chicago metro to E Iowa yesterday and to St Louis area and back today. Thought it was an issue with my avionics. Was getting traffic, but no metars and no baro sync.

I flew several hours in northern Michigan yesterday, the METARS and winds aloft never loaded for me either.

South Louisiana to North Texas and back Saturday, No Metars or TAF data for me either. Had everything else, just no wx. info. Popped up on WiFi again after I landed.

Same thing on the entire route MN-SC Sunday, and local flights last Thu & Fri. Assumed it was a receiver problem until seeing this thread.

There are definitely FIS-B issues. At last word from the FAA, there is no ETA on when the issues will be resolved.

As for DOGE'd... I did read where supposedly there were layoffs with the people that maintain FIS-B. But don't know if it is true or not.

Just got a reply from the FAA

Thank you for your report. We found a cause with our weather product (FIS-B) provider and have resolved the issue. Please do contact us again if the problem has not been resolved on your next routine flight. Thanks.

Guess we will find out.

Worked yesterday after having issues for about a week. At least locally.

@John Collins / @Brad Z, IIRC, planned FIS-B outages are published, like NAVCEN does for GPS. Assuming there is closed loop QC so you can detect the unplanned outages, is there a public-facing FIS-B status page?

I don't believe there is. If there is an outage, typically it would be localized and disseminated via a NOTAM. Not sure why that didn't happen here, but I suspect FIS-B outages are somewhat rare compared to GNSS and WAAS, both of which are at the mercy of the performance of the GPS constellation.

I think it is pretty strange that we had this wide of an outage and there was no *real* info on the issue. Had I really realized how wide reaching and that there were no NOTAMs, etc., I would have reached out to one of the news networks to get them on the story.

Well, you get what you paid for , right ?

I do pay taxes.

Flight on Friday and Saturday was as normal.
You paying some sort of taxes and the overall quality of service offered , especially originating at federal level, is probably one of the most tenuous relationships in existence with cause and effect often spanning generations … once you accept this basic but universal truth , you will live and eventually die a happier man.

Was also mandated to pay for ADS-B out of my own pocket above and beyond taxes. Care to try again?

one small correction: you are only required to have ADS-B Out in certain airspace. There is no requirement for ADS-B In. Or did that change?

The carrot for us giving ADS-B out for which we had to pay for, was we would get the wx and traffic back in return. Now if the .gov provided all the ADS-B units free of charge and paid for installation, I would agree that we got what we paid for.
