After a June system fiasco I upgraded to Windows XP and did the requisite rounds of re-installations. ADOBE Reader 9.0 is giving me headaches.

Download and installation seemed proper. However, when its use is necessary -- as in trying to invoke my Garmin 430W Series Trainer CD I get the following message: "Adobe Reader 9.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." #@&^%@#(*$^%#@!!!!!!!!

I've removed the program and again downloaded and installed numerous times but always get the same message. What the h**** is the foul-up.?
Note: I'm using Firefox.

Try calling Adobe. They've been pretty helpful in the past.

I just want to put the CD into the PLEXTOR drive and run the program, requirements for which are:
(a) Windows 2000 or XP
(b) CD-ROM Drive
(c) Adobe Acrobat Reader
