New to me C172 has a Bendix King KX125 com-nav. radio.
It has a port on the front called R908 for LED contrast adjustment.
What type tool goes in the hole to adjust brightness ?
Allan wrench , flat blade , Philipps ? Non metalic ?

The adjustment only changes max illumination. Have you cleaned the photo cell to see if that cures your issue?

Not certain where photo cell is . It's 40 miles away in hanger at present.
