Adept engine

OPTION 1 of how to send in your money:

Securing a Production Position for your ADEPT Airmotive Engine is simple.
Stage 1:

Secure an engine production position by contacting one of our representatives. We will input your required specifications into our production schedule and provide you with details and expected timing of the next available production position.
Stage 2:

Prior to commencing production of your engine, you will be required to pay a 50% production deposit which will kick off the assembly of your engine to match your selected specifications.
Stage 3:

Once your engine is complete, you will pay the remaining balance, and take delivery of your brand-new ADEPT Engine.

OPTION 2:

send 1/4 of what you were going to lose to eman instead. you'll have an equal chance of getting your engine from me as from them.

I admit that wasn't on my "they're the same picture" bingo card, but here we are. Battered spouse syndrome is rampant on this hobby.

There is an existing company that could pull this off. They had experimented with a six-banger a few years back and shelved it.
If MOSAIC is ever actually implemented, it could cause that existing company (Rotax, of course) to produce something with a few more ponies, both for ASTM aircraft, and for retrofit (as the economy of scale would then open things up) into some existing machines.

I wouldn't hold out for a retrofit program. The GA fleet is ancient, and it's just not worthy of a major retrofit.

This is at my airport - I've met these guys, seen this airplane and know the guy who wired up the avionics very well. It's a legit project and they have a lot of money dumped into it (and a good deal still left for whatever the next steps become). Whether it will be coming to an airplane near you is too early to tell IMO, but I'm cautiously optimistic that this might see the market. Time will tell.

As long as they haven’t hired anyone that likes the phrase “I’m good with that,” they might be ok…
